BRIDGETT & MARK'S STORY

A love of travel and a strong sense of adventure has always been at the heart of what has made Bridgett & Mark seek out new experiences in life! To keep moving forward, to thrive on the natural beauty and landscape of the stunning Islands that we all live on and can often take for granted! After raising a family and finding themselves at a point in their lives where they had both sadly lost their parents, Bridgett and Mark were looking to make a change in their lives. After years of travelling around the western Isles of Scotland in their vintage VW campervan, having a deep affection for all things 'Scottish' and the discovery that Bridgett has a strong genetic heritage in Scotland they both fell in love with the Isle of Barra and it's many offerings - from the healthy lifestyle it offered, to wildlife, and the welcoming community. For three years prior to their decision to move to the magical Isle of Barra Bridgett & Mark had been full time liveaboard cruisers on a traditional 62 foot narrowboat travelling and exploring the beautiful canal network that opened up a whole new world of nature and beauty to them. Now that Bridgett & Mark have moved and settled on the Isle of Barra they want to share all that the island has to offer with you!
